How old were you when you started racing? What made you start? I actually started racing when I was 8. It started off as a family outing or maybe on special events such as when I get good grades in school. So, after being exposed to racing, I could feel that racing was part of me and I could most probably make a career out of it. Since then you've won a number of different championship titles. Which one meant the most to you and why? The one that meant the most to me was the Asian Karting Open Championship 2004, as that was the first title I won in the early stage of racing. How do you manage to balance your racing with your education? Focus, discipline and do not procastinate. What do you think are the main qualities that make a successful racing driver? Discipline. What is the best thing about being a racing driver? The satisfaction when we win races! Nothing beats it. What is the worst thing? It acquires lots of commitment and hard work. Nevertheless, it pays off at the end. Fitness is a big part of being a racing driver. How do you keep fit and do you follow a diet? At the moment, I have a fitness trainer from Germany, named Roman Engel. For the type of training, we do a lot of cardio which mean running, cycling, rowing and also we focus a lot on muscle endurance training as it requires drivers to stay fit in the car for about 40 minutes if not longer. Who are your major influences inside and outside of the racing world? Dad, Mom, Grandfathers, Grandmothers, Sayed (Manager), family and friends! Everyone is considered major. You're 17 and now competing for PETRONAS MOFAZ in the 2011 JK Racing Asia Series, what are you goals for the future? First to win the 2011 Championship and then hopefully move up to the next step and win every single championship I compete in. What advice would you give aspiring racing drivers?
